BBCode
BBCode is a collection of formatting tags used to change the look of text or add graphical elements on these forums. BBCode is based on the same principle as HTML and looks a lot like it. Just wrap the parts you want to change or add in tags ([tag_name]text to change[/tag_name]). Below is the list of all available BBCode tags and how to use them.
Administrators can turn BBCode on or off. You can check whether BBCode is enabled when writing a post or editing your signature.
Text style
The following tags change the look of text:
[b]Bold text[/b]producesBold text
[u]Underlined text[/u]producesUnderlined text
[i]Italic text[/i]producesItalic text
[s]Strikethrough text[/s]producesStrikethrough text
[del]Deleted text[/del]producesDeleted text[ins]Inserted text[/ins]producesInserted text
[em]Emphasized text[/em]producesEmphasized text
[color=#FF0000]Red text[/color]producesRed text
[color=blue]Blue text[/color]producesBlue text
[h]Heading[/h]producesHeading
Links and images
You can create links to other documents or to email addresses with the following tags:
[url=https://avrobb.org/]AvroBB[/url]produces[url]https://avrobb.org/[/url]produces[url=/help.php]This help page[/url]produces[email]myname@example.com[/email]produces[email=myname@example.com]My email address[/email]produces[topic=1]Test topic[/topic]produces[topic]1[/topic]produces[post=1]Test post[/post]produces[post]1[/post]produces[forum=1]Test forum[/forum]produces[forum]1[/forum]produces[user=2]Test user[/user]produces[user]2[/user]produces
Links and images
If you want to show an image, use the “img” tag. The text after the “=” sign in the opening tag is used for the alt attribute (alternative text shown if the image can’t be displayed) and should be added whenever possible

Quotes
If you want to quote someone, use the “quote” tag.
[quote=James]This is the text I want to quote.[/quote]produces- James wrote:

[quote]This is the text I want to quote.[/quote]producesThis is the text I want to quote.
If you don’t want to quote anyone in particular, you can use the “quote” tag without a name.
Note: if a username contains the characters [ or ], you can wrap it in quotation marks.
Code
When showing source code, make sure you use the “code” tag. Text between code tags is shown in a monospaced font and is not affected by other tags.
[code]This is some code.[/code]producesThis is some code.
Lists
To create a list, use the “list” tag. Three kinds of lists are available.
[list][*]Example first list item.[/*][*]Example second list item.[/*][*]Example third list item.[/*][/list]producesExample first list item.
Example second list item.
Example third list item.
[list=1][*]Example first list item.[/*][*]Example second list item.[/*][*]Example third list item.[/*][/list]producesExample first list item.

[list=a][*]Example first list item.[/*][*]Example second list item.[/*][*]Example third list item.[/*][/list]producesExample first list item.

Nested tags
BBCode tags can be nested for advanced formatting. For example:
[b][u]Bold, underlined text[/u][/b]producesBold, underlined text
Additional tags
The forum also understands these tags, offered by the editing toolbar:
m[sup]2[/sup] H[sub]2[/sub]Oproducesm2 H2O
[center]Centered text[/center]producesCentered text
[acronym=Air Traffic Control]ATC[/acronym]producesATC
[spoiler]End of the movie: the pilot lands.[/spoiler]producesSpoiler
End of the movie: the pilot lands.
The “video” tag embeds a YouTube, Dailymotion or Vimeo video from its address: [video]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=…[/video].
